I co-host Mola’s premium interview program Mola Living Live, interviewing prominent world filmmakers including Paul Schrader, Michael Douglas, Kurt Russel, Alec Baldwin, Uma Thurman, Ron Howard, Richard Gere, and Mel Gibson.

Managing Director at Anekdot (Since 2018)

Anekdot is a production company that writes and produces creative and gripping short films and PSAs that raise awareness and promote positive social change. Recent films have covered sexual violence and sexual harassment, gender equality, child marriage, sex trafficking and domestic violence.

Lead Editor at Greatmind Indonesia (2018 – 2021)

I led our weekly editorial meeting. With the core team, we discussed who to interview and determine story angles. I received story pitch from reporters and guided and trained them on how to effectively write questions and thus create comprehensive and insightful interviews. On top of this, I wrote and presented a special YouTube segment, the monthly video On Marissa’s Mind. Here, I discussed topics often missed yet profoundly fundamental in living a good life. I also conducted a one-on-one interview with many public figures from different walks of life titled ‘Bercakap Bersama’ (A Conversation With).

I host Narasi.tv’s program Enaknya Diobrolin, conversing with guests on various topics including economy, lifestyle and environment. 

Senior News Anchor at NET. (2013 – 2019)

I hosted its flagship morning program Indonesia Morning Show, airing Monday to Friday, at 9.00-10.00 am. Here, I presented news stories and moderate discussions daily on a wide range of political and social topics. I have hosted its weekly premium interview program 1 INDONESIA where I interviewed some of the most influential people in Indonesia including current President of Indonesia Joko Widodo, current Vice President of Indonesia Jusuf Kalla, former Chief of Police General Badrodin Haiti, former Coordinating Minister of Politics, Law and Security Luhut Pandjaitan, former Head of Indonesian Intelligence Body (BIN) Sutiyoso, Head of Nahdlatul Ulama (the largest Islamic organization in Indonesia) Said Aqil Siroj, former Jakarta Governor Basuki Tjahaja Purnama, 2014 presidential candidate and former Head of Special Forces Prabowo Subianto, 3rdIndonesian President BJ Habibie, and former Head of Anti Graft Commission (KPK) Abraham Samad.

Senior Producer & Section Head of Talent Development at NET. (2013 – 2014)

I produced the premium interview program 1 INDONESIA. I approached and booked interviewees, researched, produced questions, and worked with an editor to put together the final broadcasting product. I also led and trained NET.’s entire team of news presenters from varied backgrounds to make sure they applied journalism standards in their work.

Radio Announcer for Brava Radio (2014)

I presented Power Lunch with Marissa Anita every Friday from 12.00 – 16.00 where I interviewed business people and decision makers in Indonesia, presenting our listeners with ideas and inspiration at lunch time.

Reporter & News Anchor at Metro TV (2008 – 2013)

For two and a half years I anchored Metro TV’s flagship 8-11 Show, an energetic and entertaining breakfast program that combines news, arts, business news, entertainment, and political commentary. On 811 Show, I helped create special movie review segment where each week we would review movies showing on Indonesian cinemas. I also presented its weekly English-language news program Indonesia Now. I was also a field reporter, working in both local and international departments, producing news packages and talk shows in Indonesian and English. I gained solid experience in all parts of the in-the-field news production process, from researching, story development and interviewing to shooting footage, writing scripts, editing and making packages.

Reporter for Canal France International (2011)

I was selected by CFI to cover Cannes Film Festival 2011 through a competitive process. During the festival, I produced, wrote, presented, and edited 11 reports in 11 days for Metro TV.

Vice President of Jakarta Players Community Theatre (2017 – 2020)

Working with the Jakarta Players’ board members, I planned and decided which plays we would be putting on every season. All profits from our shows are donated to foundations needing funds. We have donated to help victims of the Aceh Tsunami, build homes through Habitat for Humanity Indonesia, Yayasan Sayap Ibu, and Taman Bacaan Pelangi.
